Spirit of 608: Fashion, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability + Tech

Mar 15, 2016

There's a special kind of inspiration and advice you get from listening to a woman in the trenches tell it like it is. That's what you'll hear on today's show featuring Anne Tollett, whose startup Hanover Avenue is out to change the way we approach interior design by offering fool-proof help from experts alongside design tips and meticulously curated buying guides for the items featured on the site. Touting the hashtag #flawlessdesignforall, Anne and her team want to help those of us grappling with interior design conundrums gracefully wade through the vast array of choices and products available today and, ultimately, make the luxury of great design accessible to the masses. But almost as cool as the fun, informative videos Anne puts together interviewing top-notch designers and the total eye candy of the site itself is the frank, down-to-earth way she's willing to let listeners into her experience building a company from scratch - and making mistakes along the way. This was an incredibly fun episode to create - and not only because Anne's is so on point with her story and advice, but also because we have known each other for more than three decades (more about that in the show).
