That's exactly what's happening to Shanna Tellerman, co-founder and CEO of Modsy, a startup that's aiming to shake up home design by leveraging 3D technology that lets anyone take a few pictures to view furnishings and interior design ideas in their own home. While companies from Houzz to One Kings Lane have made great design more accessible through digital technology, Modsy is focused not on connecting customers with professionals or high-end products, but on using accessible tools like the camera on your tablet device to help individual customers make better design decisions - like a virtual closet for home design with your real living space as a custom avatar. It's pretty cool stuff, but that's not all that this week's guest brings to the well-laid table. A serial entrepreneur who sold her first company to Autodesk, Shanna is a master connector and knows her way around the venture capital world thanks to a two-year stint with Google Ventures.
