Spirit of 608: Fashion, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability + Tech

Feb 23, 2016

Sometimes, a story just moves you in a way that makes you stop everything you're doing right at that moment and take note. That's what happened to me when I initially heard from Cynthia Jamin, the founder of TwirlyGirl, a Los Angeles-based clothing brand for girls. Sure, she's a FEST-ive entrepreneur who manufactures responsibly and has built a viable, unique business that's easy to learn from. But there's more. While that alone would have been enough to get my attention, it was her incredibly inspiring journey from abused child to Hollywood actress who finally found her true calling as a badass entrepreneur creating clothing that reflects the lighthearted joy every little kid needs and deserves that truly hooked me. Extra bonus points go to Cynthia for being frank, funny, ultra entertaining to talk to and full of great advice for female entrepreneurs on the rise.

But wait, there's more below!
